Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)
ECFE is a state supported early childhood program for all families in Minnesota with young children birth to age five.
ECFE is recognized nationally as a unique and effective educational model that supports parents and children in the most critical stages of child development.
ECFE is the largest early childhood program in the state, and is connected with school districts throughout Minnesota. Stillwater Area Public Schools has offered ECFE to families since 1985.
ECFE class fee is based on a sliding fee schedule. Each family pays according to their income. No family is turned away due to the inability to pay the class fee.
ECFEteachershave a Minnesota teaching license.
ECFE provides inclusive programming at the preschool level. We recognize that the best environment for all children, including those with disabilities, is usually an environment that supports children as they learn and grow together.
Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
ECSEis a school district educational service offered to families who have children with diagnosed disabilities.
ECSEis free to families with children who qualify for services.
ECSEteachershave a Minnesota teaching license.
